octave-odepkg software package provides solve differential equations and initial value problems in Octave, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install octave-odepkg
octave-odepkg is installed in your system.
Make ensure the octave-odepkg package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep octave-odepkg *
You will get with octave-odepkg package name, version, architecture and description in a table
